Giving and taking is a two way relationship. The sooner we realize this, the better it is for us. I'm sure right now you might be recollecting a moment in your life where you felt that you've given enough. And that you are empty now.
Above everything else, we are humans. We make mistakes. And that's okay. What's not okay is not learning from them. In our life, a lot of situations arise when we trust people. It can be our friends or may be our boyfriend/ girlfriend. We give our everything to that relationship. And only in the end we realize that we've been taken for granted. And that we don't matter as much as we thought we did. And then when things go wrong, we can't stop blaming ourselves, thinking how we were the ones that gave them the liberty to do so. I've written the following poem in the same context.
Judging others is an attribute of every human. Pointing fingers is very easy. But what we don't realize is that we all are flawed. We all are imperfect. And accepting it will only allow us to free ourselves from the clutches of a disapproving society. What I feel is no one of us is right entirely. There is no wrong and right. It's a one way. Somewhere or the other, we have a part of wrong in us. But the one that is least wrong is called the right one. It might seem deep but it is worth giving a thought.
Pain is an inevitable part of our life. Just as all other things are. We have pain because we can feel it. And feeling something is a luxury in itself. Also, pain means you have life. If we have life, all other things are secondary. I always feel that if we are hurt, upset or sad, we tend to focus on the negatives first. We forget all other things that make us happy. But you know what? This too shall pass. Be smooth in pain. Show the life and the Universe that you can bloom and are unbreakable.
We all have some or the other thing that we love. We love it so much that we don't want to lose it. But this is life. It so happens that there is no choice. We need to let go of certain things just because they come in between the happiness of others. And that's why it is called a sacrifice and not an adjustment. Parents sacrifice their dreams for their children. Sometimes children sacrifice their dream careers because they want to see their parents happy. This is how life is. And that's how our heart is. Leaving everything behind for happiness for others. This thought is the inspiration behind this poem.
