Appearance & Packaging: A Hindustan Unilever Ltd. product: the kajal comes in a twist up packaging. And it is retractable. Unlike the satin liner where you need to take care of and twist up very carefully as the product won’t go back in. But here, its good like that. You can retract back. The kajal comes in 6 colors – classic brown, regal green, royal blue, turquoise, deep black and brown.

My take on it: First of all, Lakme is actually the only drugstore brand I remember from my childhood days. I have all of my firsts in the makeup from his brand. I don’t even remember the time when I started using this kajal. The texture is smooth and creamy. It’s really black. An intense one. And I’ve worn it for like 12 hours straight and it hasn’t smudged. A reason for that could be my dry eyes. My eyes don’t water much. But even if I consider that point, one cannot question its ability to not smudge. I know how my other makeup comes off easily but for this, considering how waterproof it is, I really need a good makeup remover to completely remove it from my waterline. It definitely doesn’t sting in my eyes. I would highly recommend this kajal especially to all the beginners out there. This is that one product that makes my vanity complete.
